RCH Foundation SHINE Gala 2012 RCH Foundation hosted its fifth annual sold-out SHINE Gala and celebrated the hospital's 150th anniversary on March 8, 2012. Thanks to generous Gala supporters, RCH Foundation exceeded its fundraising target for the event, raising $164,000 (net) for a Multipurpose Interventional Suite at RCH that will expand specialized care for cardiac, stroke and aneurysm patients. 78 photos |

Chinese NewYear at RCH On Sunday, January 29, the Buddhist Compassionate Relief Tzu Chi Foundation hosted a Chinese New Year festivity at the Royal Columbian Hospital (RCH). Patients and visitors joined in on fun activities such as paper cutting, calligraphy demonstrations, performances of Spring Festival songs, Chinese instrumental music and a Lion Dance to usher in the Year of the Dragon. The Tzu Chi Foundation is a generous supporter of RCH. It has recently contributed $ 30,000.00 towards the new Multipurpose Interventional Suite currently under construction. Annie Chen Team Leader Burnaby & New Westminster District for the Buddhist Compassionate Relief Tzu Chi Foundation said “We are grateful to have the opportunity to be a help to children, seniors and those whose lives have met with unexpected tragedies.
