Royal Columbian’s new Mental Health and Substance Use Wellness Centre

Opened in 2020, the Mental Health and Substance Use Wellness Centre has doubled the hospital’s capacity to care for patients in need of mental health care. The new facility features:

  • 150% more beds and 4x more space
  • Patient-centred design
  • Private rooms
  • Green space and a special exercise room

Your gift will help Royal Columbian’s talented team of mental health professionals access the tools they need to continue providing world-class care in this purpose-built facility.

Royal Columbian Hospital’s new Mental Health and Substance Use Wellness Centre opened in the summer of 2020. This new facility provides 75 beds, state-of-the-art patient care, and increased psychiatric training for the next generation of caregivers.
