Lui Passaglia knows the importance of detecting colon cancer early. That’s why the Canadian Football Hall of Famer is helping support colon cancer prevention efforts at Royal Columbian Hospital.
With your help and a dollar-for-dollar match by the Jack Gin Foundation, we have now reached our $50,000 goal to help purchase a pediatric colonoscope for the hospital’s GI Clinic. The pediatric colonoscope is thinner and more flexible than a regular colonoscope and can be a better choice for some adults.
Lui was diagnosed in 2013 and subsequently treated for stage 3 colon cancer. He’s now hoping others will recognize how regular screening can save lives.
