New Westminster, B.C. – {April 25, 2019} – The family behind the McDonald’s restaurant in New Westminster is making a gift in support of Royal Columbian Hospital’s smallest patients.
The Guzzo family and McDonald’s New Westminster will purchase a Transcutaneous Carbon Dioxide Monitor for the hospital’s Variety Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
The device measures CO2 without the need for a blood sample. It’s important technology for premature babies who need to be ventilated until they are able to breathe on their own.
Some of the money raised during the annual McHappy Day on May 8, 2019 will help Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation, while the Guzzo family will also contribute towards the purchase of the monitor.
