Thank You To Our Front-line Workers

We, at Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation, are committed to helping the hospital and its physicians and staff however we can. We see first-hand the exceptional care they provide every day, and the impact and difference they make in the lives of patients and their families. As they manage through the additional challenge presented by COVID-19, we know hearing words of support from our community does make a difference.

We know there are many, many people in our communities who are ready to look after each other. As a charity, we see it every day in the kindness and generosity of our donors. Thank you for supporting those who are supporting our patients, families and communities in need today, and every day.

On August 21st my husband ended up in RCH with severe covid. Was quickly moved to ICU, where he was ventilated twice. Through all of it the staff were amazing. They were exhausted, which you could hear in their voices, but yet did everything possible to make my husband comfortable. They FaceTimed me everyday sometimes twice a day so I could play music for him. They always knew who I was and gave me as much positive feedback they could. After spending over a month in the hospital, he came home to me and his two daughters. If it wasn’t for all the love in the staffs hearts, I don’t think he would’ve come home. Thank you to all of you. You are my hero’s ❤️ He is doing great?

My elderly father has needed care at RCH several times over the past year and on each occasion he has been treated with the the utmost respect, compassion and professionalism. I am so very grateful to the doctors and nurses who have been there for him, working under such extraordinary circumstances in this extraordinary time. Thank you for your commitment to the patients and families who depend on you. Bless you all!
