We are deeply grateful to Southern Railway of British Columbia (SRY) for their remarkable and long-standing commitment to Royal Columbian Hospital. With a 2024 gift of $44,000 toward our mental health matching campaign, SRY is helping strengthen urgently needed supports for patients and families who rely on our Mental Health and Substance Use Wellness Centre.
SRY’s giving model is truly unique. Since 2012, the company has recognized its employees ’safe working practices by translating their safety milestones into charitable donations to Royal Columbian. This approach has encouraged a strong safety culture and has resulted in nearly $600,000 in support for priority equipment, staff education, research initiatives, and facility enhancements.
While SRY typically directs their generosity to greatest needs, their 2024 contribution reflects their ongoing commitment to helping the hospital respond to evolving patient care priorities, including vital mental health services.
