2012 Multipurpose Interventional Suite (MPIS) – $2.8 million

The Multipurpose Interventional Suite is a highly specialized clinical procedure room that houses necessary space and technology to support the safe treatment of heart, head, neck, spine and vessel conditions that may have otherwise required invasive surgery.

An important feature of this suite is that it uses bi-plane imaging, which allows the Interventionalist to see two views of a patient simultaneously, increasing the accuracy while decreasing the completion time of procedures. It also has specialized software to achieve 3-dimensional images of the body and vessels for a more accurate diagnosis and treatment of numerous types of conditions.

The MPIS will be used for a range of life-saving clinical services, including Cardiology, Medical Imaging, and Neurointerventional treatment of aneurysms and stroke.
