This year, Royal Columbian Hospital celebrates 150 years of excellent service and patient care since it first opened its doors in 1862 with 30 beds, a historic milestone for B.C.’s first public hospital on the mainland. Today, RCH is one of the busiest emergency hospitals, treating the most critically ill and injured patients from across the province.
