New Westminster, B.C. – {September 1, 2021} – Dr. Wilfred Wong served as a valued member of the Royal Columbian Hospital medical staff from 1974 to 1994. Along with his wife Amy, he is furthering his legacy of care at Royal Columbian with a transformational gift of $100,000 towards stroke care in the new Acute Care Tower.
As long-time residents of the Tri-Cities, Dr. and Mrs. Wong understand the critical importance of investing in the hospital’s future. “With our gift, we hope to draw more attention to the field of stroke care, including the important advances being made in rapid diagnosis and cutting-edge interventional procedures. These innovations greatly improve long-term outcomes for people who are affected.”
We are grateful to Dr. and Mrs. Wong for their leadership in philanthropy, and for their ongoing commitment to Royal Columbian Hospital and the patients that we serve.
The new Acute Care Tower is scheduled to open in 2025 as part of Royal Columbian’s $1.49 billion redevelopment. Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation is working with donors to support redevelopment, every step of the way.
