Elks Club of New Westminster helps fund brain monitor for RCH’s tiniest patients

(Centre) Jacquie Stevenson, Elks Club of New Westminster Board Member and Chair of Charity Committee, presents Queenie Lai, Health Service Manager, RCH Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and John Ashbridge, RCH Foundation Board Director, with a cheque for $6,000 to help fund a Brain Monitor for RCH’s NICU.  The brain monitor monitors the brain activity of a premature baby, which is especially needed for babies who have been asphyxiated (normal breathing impaired) during delivery.
