Kingston Construction continues to honour the memory of its founder with another gift to Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation. The Lower Mainland-based company, established by the Backman family more than 50 years ago, used part of its latest donation to purchase video light source equipment to help doctors diagnose patients by producing clear images with a scope. Company founder Ben Backman passed away in 2009 after a long battle with colon cancer. In addition to supporting colon cancer prevention efforts, the Backman family’s latest gift will also support Royal Columbian Hospital redevelopment plans. The Backman family has donated to Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation for more than a decade.
