Rail company’s safety practices benefit mental health care

New Westminster, B.C. – {December 13, 2021} – Like Royal Columbian Hospital, Southern Railway of British Columbia (SRY) has a rich history in New Westminster that goes back over 100 years. SRY transports goods and commodities that are essential to daily life, supporting Canadian businesses and a strong economy.

In 2012, SRY introduced a unique approach to its charitable giving that recognizes their employees’ safe working practices with donations to Royal Columbian. Since then, they have generously contributed over $460,000, making an impact in countless departments in the hospital. Most recently, they have directed their support towards the new Mental Health and Substance Use Wellness Centre. We are incredibly grateful for their unwavering commitment to patient care at Royal Columbian. Thank you SRY!
