New Westminster, BC – July 4, 2013

Adrienne Bakker, President and CEO of Royal Columbian Hospital (RCH) Foundation, and Belle Puri, RCH Foundation Board Chair, are pleased to announce the appointment of Doug Eveneshen as Vice-Chair and Meldy Harris as Secretary of the 2013-2014 RCH Foundation Board of Directors.

Eveneshen and Harris work together with RCH Foundation Board members John Ashbridge; Frank Butzelaar, Sharon Domaas, Larry Kozak, Erin O’Halloran, Steve Osachoff, Gary Pooni, Dwight Ross, Board Treasurer; Helen Sparkes and Dr. Laurence Turner to help RCH Foundation achieve its vision – to inspire giving and grow funding so patients have access to the best in health care at RCH.

“I am very proud and grateful to be supported by this amazing team of Board professionals as we embark on a new era for Royal Columbian Hospital and the foundation, which will be one of tremendous growth and patient care transformation,” says Adrienne Bakker, RCH Foundation president and CEO. “Each team member has a strong connection to RCH, and it shows in their commitment to help RCH move forward with its redevelopment.”

RCH Foundation works  with corporate and community donors and partners with  the Government of BC and Fraser Health Authority to ensure that funding is in place to equip the healthcare teams  at RCH  to provide the highest level of care to the most seriously ill and injured patients from across BC. Last year the Foundation raised $6million in support of RCH, thanks to the generous support of donors  from across the province.
