Andrew Walsh, Marketing and Communications Officer, and Kandys Merola, Executive Director, with TB Vets Charitable Foundation present Royal Columbian Hospital (RCH) Foundation President and CEO Adrienne Bakker (right) with a cheque for $41,725.00 for a jet ventilator for RCH’s Variety Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This jet ventilator will help our most fragile premature babies breathe easier, with less risk of trauma to their lungs. This means faster recovery and better long-term outcomes. RCH houses B.C.’s second largest NICU, and since 1997, the Canadian Neonatal Network has recognized RCH’s NICU as consistently ranking among the top in the country for achieving excellent survival rates for newborn infants.
