In Honour of Isla Parisa Moezzi
On August 18 @3.37am Isla Parisa Moezzi made her way into this world but unfortunately it wasn’t easy for her.
At 8lbs 12oz our gorgeous chunky monkey was born via emergency c section, pulseless and not breathing. After 17 minutes the amazing NICU staff brought her back and we had 10 glorious days of experiencing a love like no other. But unfortunately her beautiful little body couldn’t make it and we said goodbye to her on August 27th in the beautiful garden at Canuck Place.
Words fail us and trying to find logic in all of this is impossible. What we do know is that we must find purpose for the terribly unfair card that the universe dealt us and creating a legacy for beautiful Isla is part of that.
The staff in the NICU at RCH are angels in human form and we will never forget the medical and loving care that Isla received in their hands.
Isla was truly a warrior and it would be fitting to have a tribute in her honour in the new NICU. She will be looking down and guiding the other babies through their NICU experience.
